Energy Optimization of a Mirror‐Symmetric Spherical Triboelectric Nanogenerator

A general theoretical analysis of a 3D generic TENG structure is presented. Using dimensionless formulation, it demonstrated that the optimal geometry does not depend on frequency moving dielectric but external ohmic impedance for maximum power output inversely proportional to frequency. It also found energy cube size TENG, square triboelectric charge density σT, and angular ω dielectric. In case spherical where sphere electrodes are caps larger three parameters determine harvested identified: ratio between radii two spheres r ^ = r/R, polar angle θ formed by electrodes, Z ZεRω, impedance, R radius large sphere, ε permittivity system, sphere. Under crude assumption constant can be easily calculated. 1.1 rad, 0.67, 0.18.
